Boots 07/25/2009
 This pair of new hiking boots were left, forgotten near the gallery that I exhibit in. Once a week I go and take my turn in the gallery and every week for several months they have been in the same position. It is almost a shrine in my mind and it felt defiled when last week someone had removed the laces. Nature is beginning to take over and the plants are growing around them. I think with a quiet respect we are all leaving them there to see if their owner returns next year! The painting is called "Lost'" and incorporates oils, a map, and bronze leaf.
